Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.
At the January Council meeting, Dianne Johnson, NWWA Synod Director of Evangelical Mission, attended to present a proposal for OSLC to consider partnering with a Taiwanese ELCA startup congregation that is seeking worship space. The congregation desires to be a full partner in ELCA, and they hold worship and a meal for about 25-30 people. Currently, worship is in the afternoon. Partnering would offer opportunities for joint fellowship in special events. After meeting with Dianne, the Council felt compelled to explore this opportunity as we consider how it might fit with our vision to fearlessly follow Jesus.
Please join myself and Council President Manda Schoen on Sunday Jan. 27th, 2019 at 11:15am in Anderson Hall for a Town Hall Meeting. At this meeting, we will present this opportunity, answer questions, receive feedback, and ask you whether this is an opportunity you’d like to see OSLC explore.
If you are unable to make the Town Hall meeting, please feel free to reach out to myself with questions and comments at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope you see you there!
