Youth Superbowl Pizza Fundraiser

Support our Youth. Buy Pizza! On Sunday, January 29th after both the 8:30 and 11:00 AM worship services, our youth will be sharing samples of take-home pizzas and taking your orders. All pizzas are $15, and all proceeds go to support the Youth trip to the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans this summer. All orders need to be placed by January 29th, and paid for with cash or check. They will be made available as take-home ready to bake pizzas on Super Bowl Sunday (February 5th). Order a dozen and share them with friends. This is a great way to support our youth! If you can’t make it to OSLC on Sunday, January 29th, for our sampler day, send an email to Pastor Ryan (rdfletcher@oslcissaquah.org) to place your order.

OSLC Christmas Offering

Each year during the Christmas season at OSLC, we lift up our many blessings and give thanks by sharing the good gifts we receive with others. This year, our special Christmas offering goes to support the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s Malaria Campaign. This campaign is dedicated to ending the threat of malaria to communities in various parts of Africa. Malaria is currently the number one killer in Africa, which is especially tragic because of how preventable it is. To join with others at OSLC in giving to this campaign, simply click on this link for the ELCA Malaria Campaign website, or bring your offering to worship at OSLC in an envelope that indicates that it is for the “ELCA Malaria Campaign.”

Christmas Eve Worship at OSLC

Join us at OSLC this Christmas Season. On Christmas Eve, we offer candlelight worship services at 7, 9, and 11 PM. On Christmas Day and on New Year’s Day, we have one worship service at 9:30 AM. Gathering together, as a community of faith, during this season is a living tradition that fills our hearts and prepares us to receive the wondrous gift of the Christ child on Christmas morning! For more information on any of our worship services or seasonal events, please contact the church office: office@oslcissaquah.org.

OSLC Advent Devotional 2011

For the four Sundays of Advent this year, OSLC is focusing on what it means to be a part of God’s family tree. To extend the conversation that we begin each week in Sunday morning worship, we have created a weekly take-home devotional. “Of Jesse’s Lineage: Being God’s Family” will take you and your family on a journey through characters in your biblical and contemporary families and help you experience more fully the coming of Jesus at Christmas. Each week, we take a look at Saints, Sinners, Strangers, and the Savior. The downloadable PDF includes four separate weekly pieces that can be printed out back-to-back. Download a copy by clicking on this link. This devotional can also be used in future seasons of Advent.

Bible Presentation for 2nd Graders, Nov. 13th

When individuals join the Church through the waters of baptism, the faith community makes a commitment to place the Holy Scriptures in their hands and pass on faith in Jesus. At OSLC, we fulfill one piece of this promise by taking time to recognize our 2nd Graders and give them the gift of a Bible. All 2nd Graders and older children who have not previously participated are welcome to take part. For more information, contact the church office (office@oslcissaquah.org).
