New to OSLC

Welcome! If you’re new to OSLC or just checking out the website we are glad you are here, and would like to invite you to join us for worship Sunday at 10am. To assist you in getting to know this community here are a few answers to questions we are commonly asked.

What is OSLC all about?

You can read about the ways we share, serve, grow, connect, and celebrate in our congregation in our 2021-2022 Narrative Budget Presentation here.

I’m new to OSLC – how do I get started?

Simple. Join us Sunday morning at 10am for worship, and make sure to introduce yourself to the pastor, or another member of the staff. Once we know you, we can best help you learn more about OSLC, and whether or not you want to make this place your home. After worship, join us for coffee and conversation in Anderson Hall.

What should I wear?

Come as you are. We do not have a dress code. Most people are fairly casual, wearing tee shirts and jeans.

Do I need to wear a mask?

Masks are welcome but not required.

Is child care provided?

No, but we have a small play/reading area just outside the worship space so that you can still hear the service while your children are entertained.  We also have a full nursery that is available for use during worship. When you arrive, ask a greeter to help you find it.

What activities can I get involved in?

OSLC offers a number of different activities to get involved in depending on your interest. They include:

  • Weekly Women’s Bible Study
  • Mission Quilters
  • Chancel and Memorial Bell Choirs
  • Community Meals Preparation

If you would like more information on these groups contact the OSLC office ([email protected])

How do I reach a pastor in case of emergency?

Simple. Call the church office at (425) 392-4169 and follow the directions to be connected with the Pastor on call.
