There is nothing quite like gathering around a campfire on a cool summer evening. Each Wednesday evening from July 24 through August 28, OSLC will hold a series of community campfires on the shores of Lake Sammamish. These campfires are relaxed and informal and include a simple evening worship service on the beach. Hot dogs, condiments, water, and SMORES are provided. Just bring yourself, a friend, and something to sit on. We gather beginning at 6:30 PM each Wednesday. All are welcome.

Join us for our annual All Church Picnic with softball game and kids’ carnival this Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 1-3 PM at Tibbetts Valley Park Field #3 (965 12th Ave NW, Issaquah, WA 98027). There will be a bounce house and cotton candy for the kids plus lots of food and fun for all ages. Hot dogs, brats, beverages, and condiments are all provided. Simply come out and join the fun.

During the worship services on Palm Sunday (March 24th, 8:30 & 11:00 AM), all children are invited to join in singing with the OSLC Chancel Choir. At both services, they will be invited to come forward and join in. In preparation, families simply need to sing this song, “Lift Up Your Heads,” through until their children have memorized it. The song is very simple and will be easy for any child to learn.

On Sunday, February 3, 2013, all middle school and high school youth are invited to join us for ice skating at Castle Ice in Renton. We will meet at OSLC at 12:15 p.m. and carpool to the ice arena. Join OSLC for Nerf Night on Friday, January 18, 2013! This event is for children and youth in Grades 4-8. For only $5, you get pizza and hours of Nerf blasting fun. We will meet at OSLC at 5 PM and carpool over to St. Matthew’s in Renton where the event takes place. Children and youth are invited to bring their own Nerf blasters. We do have extra if you don’t have one. The event will end by 9 PM. To sign-up, contact Pastor Ryan ([email protected]).
